The stylists behind Julie Bishop’s incredible red carpet look at the Moët & Chandon champagne event in Sydney last week have shared the secrets to the former foreign minister’s stunning new image – and their tips for a flattering ‘revenge style’ all of your own in every decade.
Scott Sloan and Christopher Byrne of Sloans Salon in North Sydney have looked after the 66-year-old politician’s hair for years now, but never was there a more important cut and style than last week’s red carpet.
Since Julie split from her ex-boyfriend of eight years David Panton in July this year, she has done what many women in the midst of a breakup do: change her hair.

After swapping her shoulder-length blonde locks for a short asymmetrical bob in August, Julie went even further this month when she arrived at the Moët event with a stylish pixie cut and a new man on her arm.
The new man in question was self-described ‘adventure philanthropist’ and Managing Director of a multinational PPE business Luke Hepworth.
The pair have been snapped at several high-profile events recently, and they feature heavily on each other’s Instagram accounts.
But Luke has insisted that the pair are just ‘good friends’, telling the Telegraph ‘we are definitely not dating’.
Julie completed her new look at the Moët event with bulging triceps, a figure-hugging designer dress, statement drop earrings and a short blonde cut that says ‘I mean business’.

When it comes to the style of her hair, Sloans Director Scott Sloan is responsible for Julie’s cut and overall style, while Senior Stylist Christopher Byrne looks after the politician’s colour:
‘Julie is proof that you can look fabulous in your 60s and we love her for it,’ Scott told FEMAIL.
‘The key with this look we created for her was the shorter crop to frame the face while still keeping it feminine by keeping the edges soft.
