Fans were left shocked this week after seeing him don a very different hair do.

And a new snap of Michael Douglas with his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones looking loved-up in Paris might suggest he is having second thoughts about his divisive new look.

The Fatal Attraction actor, 78, gave his wife of 22 years a peck on the cheek during their trip to the French capital, in a post shared to Catherine’s 4.3million Instagram followers – but his orange tresses were cropped out of the shot.

It is not known if either Catherine or Michael were behind the crop, after fans of his were left unsure with him getting rid of his signature slicked back grey locks.

His new longer auburn hair may only be a temporary one – but many said they hoped as much, wishing it was just a change for a movie role. 

Michael did not reference the new look when he showed it off for the first time in a new video posted to Instagram on Saturday.

Is it a wig? It’s not known if the transformation is a permanent one but his fans did not seem to be convinced about his new look and hoped it was simply for a movie role

He simply said: ‘Hey guys! Happy #TGIF! Have a good one! Lots of love! MD.’ 

While many fans took to the comments to tell him how much they love him and find him handsome, others were pretty savage about his auburn hair. 

They wrote: ‘Sorry Michael, the hair makes you look older not to mention the wrinkles. Go dye your hair back to grey and get a haircut.
