Rain fades for mostly cloudy Wednesday ahead of sunshine, warmer temps in Metro Detroit

DETROIT – Good Wednesday morning!
Wet weather is disappearing on Exact Track 4D Radar this morning as our Wednesday begins. Skies will remain mostly cloudy, though, with morning temperatures in the middle and upper 40s. Those temps will feel a tad cooler with a steady breeze moving NW at 10 mph.
I refuse to talk about wind chills yet, but you will want that fall jacket today. Our stretch of widely scattered morning showers is over, which means we will end September with a two-inch rain deficit.
Today’s sunrise is at 7:27 a.m.
There will be a few periods of nice blue skies and sunshine, but it won’t last too long, as most of our Wednesday will be spent under partly sunny skies.
Look for high temperatures to hit the lower 60s later this afternoon with that pesky cool breeze moving NNW at 7-14 mph, gusting to 20 mph at times.
The only real chance for a spotty, light shower or sprinkle would be on the extreme east side of our area and into Southern Ontario, coming off of Lake Huron mid-afternoon. Most of us won’t see another drop today.
Tonight’s sunset is at 7:20 p.m.
Get ready to be rewarded for your patience during this unusual cool stretch.
Sunshine and warmer temps
We will have cool and crisp mornings on Thursday and Friday, and nothing but sunshine throughout the end of our work and school week. Mostly sunny skies will help highs into the middle 60s or warmer on Thursday, followed by more sun Friday with highs closer to 70 degrees.
The winds will be nice and calm…
