Married At First Sight bride Ella Ding revealed this week that she once completely shaved her head – and it was for a very noble reason.

The 28-year-old shared on Facebook that she shaved off her beautiful locks in 2014 to help a leukaemia charity raise money for those battling the disease.

‘I shaved my head for the World’s Greatest Shave in 2014 to support my friends who lost their parents to cancer,’ she wrote.

She later grew some of it back and dyed it a lavender pink, styling it in an edgy and futuristic ‘do.  

The beautician added she quite liked the look, which prompted her to experiment with shorter hairstyles over the years.

Many of her Ella’s fans were stunned by her altruistic move and were quick to praise her.

One fan told her she was ‘so brave’ for going bald when she was just 19 years old and another follower said she was ‘the best friend’ someone could ask for.

Last month, Ella revealed she is working on a new project after announcing that she’ll appear on the UK reality show Made in Chelsea.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia at the Channel Nine 2023 upfronts, Ella revealed that she’s about to launch her own health and wellness app.

‘I’m working on my own app which is cool and exciting,’ she said.

Ella previously teased the secret project when she shared a photo of herself and a team of people in a board room meeting.
